Why We Built This Site
Alabama permits inspection of open court files, yet access is spread across several channels. The Dallas County Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit and District records. Probate and municipal files have separate custodians. AlaCourt and Just One Look provide paid electronic case details, while AlaFile serves registered filers. We collect the official contacts, portal roles, case-search steps, and copy-request information needed to tell those routes apart.
What You Will Find Here
- Case lookups: steps for a case search by number or party name through Alabama's paid access systems
- Docket references: local ways to search and read criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Record requests: routes for obtaining court records, filed documents, and certified clerk copies
- Settings and dates: methods for reading a court calendar entry and confirming it with the assigned office
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to an Alabama court, clerk, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- No official docket, case file, or certified court document can be issued here
- A hearing date cannot be set, moved, reset, or confirmed by this site
- No docket entry or case can be amended, sealed, or removed here
- Legal advice about a particular case is outside this site's role
- Fees, contacts, and settings can change and must be checked with the official office
An official or certified docket or document must come from the clerk or court that holds the original. This resource can identify that office but cannot issue the record.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes shown on some pages. They operate their own products, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through a partner tool may produce a referral fee that supports free access to this reference site. We do not set those charges or decide which records appear.
